after a long (unsuccessful) search to find a traditional tea house & tea ceremony (inside our budget & time frame) we discovered the beautiful Ippodo tea rooms where you will find the lovely Ippodo tea ladies who will help you demystify the many green teas on the menu & allow you to taste them too

then, inside their authentically decorated Ippodo tea room 'Kaboku', you can learn the art of pouring Japanese tea by ordering something from the menu. Most teas will also come with some delightful sweet cakes.
